Dusseldorf Memorial and Remembrance Center

The Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Düsseldorf für die Opfer nationalsozialistischer Gewaltherrschaft is a cultural institute of the state capital Düsseldorf.

The show "The Commissars. Kriminalpolizei an Rhein und Ruhr 1920-1950" is one of the largest and most elaborate special exhibitions that the memorial has ever developed and presented. Curated by Hildegard Jakobs, Dr. Andrea Ditchen and Thomas Ullrich from Büro Ullrich, the special exhibition takes a look at the history of the criminal police in Düsseldorf: from the Weimar Republic to the early post-war period.
